Hungary's ''Protected Palinkas'' - Which is better, Plum or Apricot ?

This autumn, you can get familiar with outstanding Hungarian protected palinkas, like the Békési plum brandy or the Kecskeméti apricot brandy. You can discover them and find out which is better at the 2nd Palinka and Sausage Festival this October on the Savoyan Terrace in the Castle of Buda.

Organized by a non profit organization, this major cultural and gastronomical event not only to uphold traditions, but also to acquaint them with our national and international visitors and guests. As it has been like the past events, demand from manufacturers was high, but due to the constraints of the venue, he number of exhibitors and vendors were streamlined to the finest fifteen of the distillers and ten of the very best of the sausage makers.

The festival is an excellent opportunity to discover the world of Hungarian palinkas and sausages and their cenutries old traditions and exceptional recipes. Secret ingredients and special preparing make these products not only unique but also class them among the world’s premium brands.

Sounds delicious and I’d love to try that, Zsolt.

(ps. Please don’t tell my french friends I wrote this. They, with their excellent cuisine (but their notorious incapacity to try, much less like, ”foreign” food and drink ideas, would lynch me!!!!!!)

Don’t tempt me. You are talking to someone who has actually (true!!) gone to an airport to take the first available plane out, just for the pleasure of doing it.

(Manchester airport, a friday, with a friend. First plane? For Berlin. Two days of beer and then to work on monday with a hangover....)
